Yes, it seems to jump instantly as I manually turn the hands past midnight. As to whether it was always instant with the pusher, no, it never has been, but I bought it used. It was, however, still pretty snappy; but slow enough you could see the disc turn, while in the hand-setting case it is practically too fast to see.

FWIW, I have been wearing just it over the holidays. I set it against an atomic clock 12/24, and I just checked its time this evening. To my eye it looks perfect, but at the very least is can't be off more by more than a fraction of a second in > 4 days. ...

No, I hadn't done it yet. I ran out of time before the holidays, and figured I would follow up after the New Year. I contacted them once about strap dimensions though, and they were very helpful. I'll see about giving them a call.
