Cartier Tank Cintree

Some info about the Tank Cintree:
- First model of Tank Cintree (curved Tank) was created in 1921
- The movement: In 1907, Cartier signed a contract with Edmund Jaeger, a French watchmaker from Alsace who later joined LeCoultre for the company to become Jaeger-LeCoultre. Edmund Jaeger agreed to exclusively design and supply the movements for Cartier watches and used the LeCoultre company to help him produce the movements. Eventually Cartier formed a movement supply company with Edmund Jaeger, this company was called European Watch & Clock Co (EWC).
The fact that the movement of your watch is signed EWC points to the authenticity of the watch but one can never be sure. I would have the watch valued by an auction house such as Antiqorum, Christie's, Sotheby's etc.
I found that the best source of information on Tank watches is the book 'Cartier: The Tank Watch' by Franco Cologni published by Flammarion. The Tank Cintree is covered in the book. I hope the above helps.
