. . . if capped, then eBay is loaded with appropriate Omega buckles. Solid would be another story . . . 18 kt authentic Omega buckles are expensive. Art

Buy a good $25 plated one on eBay and ask you local jeweller to copy it in 18kt. It'll be no more expensive than the versions coming out of Bangkok. (Originals are hens' teeth, I believe.) [nt]

That they are hens teeth. I bought my current one on ebay and it was billed as original. It certainly is not. I’m just looking for a high quality tang buckle, not necessarily Omega

Gold buckles used to be 'jewellers' perks'. When they sold a new strap, they kept the old one, buckle and all. So, ask around the old shops near you. [nt]
