Let’s see some silk dial watches…
Here’s one of mine, with a fully hand-stitched portrait of the classical Chinese painting “Duo of Swallows amidst the Snow Pear Tree”. The innovation and skills required to fuse an artisanal and traditionally-crafted silk dial with a metal dial base is a world-first, as is the intricate fineness of the silk thread required for such a minuscule work of art.
I’m curious to see if there’s anything similar from Switzerland or Germany…
I've just recently taken delivery of two more silk dial watches with different portraits in keeping with the avian theme
Full disclosure: this watch is quite literally my watch, in that I designed it and brought it to fruition under my own brand. It’s a watch that I’m especially proud of. Mods, feel free to delete if inappropriate
