Horological Meandering

Light box is very easy to build if interested

A simple white (opaque) plastic garbage can, two fairly powerful lights and a good tripod are what is needed. The garbage can helps to diffuse the light and prevents glare and such. I have seem simply amazing pictures with this sort of a setup. The watch is in the garbage can I have not done it myself yet but I did suggest to a friend a few years back and he has been using this methodology successfully since. Capt Canuck from Ottawa posted this example of his set-up a few weeks back...very simple powerful light out of view and curtain material to diffuse the light visible with a small cheap slate he picked up to act as his prop.

And here is his shot. Quite artistic but very simply done.
