Nice to hear from you Simone, I've basically been living on an airplane these days (a.k.a. my academic sabbatical! ;-))) but life is always good and fun (and fast! :-) Cheers my friend!❀️πŸ₯‚

Tudor posts: Here or in the Rolex subforum?

 By: Marcus Hanke : January 29th, 2024-16:35
Until recently, it appears that posts on Tudor watches have been made generally in the Rolex subforum. However, I see the Tudor brand becoming perceived more and more indepent from its motherbrand, including the use of its own (and Breitling-sourced) move...

As much as I know,

Tudor is still a full-fledged subsidiary company of Rolex.

Well, I am not sure it is considered as Independent by Rolex. Even if they have their respective booths in Geneva during W and W. We could also say that they are sold in the same Boutiques, if I am correct.

But now if the question is how we perceive Tudor, I would say that it'd deserve a proper forum. We have many fans of the Black Bays and of Vintage Tudor. Enough to justify a dedicated forum. Best, Nicolas

LOL!!!

IF there is a dedicated subforum!

I think it deserves its own sub forum

…they are putting out so many interesting watches in the last few years that they deserve it. I think the current Tudor product is very different to the direction Rolex is moving. Should I?….hmmm ….. very tempted. ...

Yes, you should!

Ive put my name on an FXD but after that one the silver is a serious candidate for the next one. It needs a better strap but thats the usual fun to play with. I think as an elegant everyday piece. lets see how it goes ;-)

Go for it

Good to hear that everything is going fine!

My best regards!!!!

What I meant ...

 By: Marcus Hanke : January 31st, 2024-11:00
... was if we should post our Tudor comments and pics here, in Horological Meandering, instead of the Rolex subforum, where the Tudors seem to be lost a bit. If the Tudor traffic justifies an own subforum? I doubt that - now. But with the right motivation...

Let me put it this way, Marcus: if Tudor posts appear on the Rolex forum . . .

. . . there they will remain. If they're posted on HoMe, Bill will get a handle on how popular Tudor is so he'll have a sense of whether its worthwhile pursuing a separate forum. Best, Art
