Horological Meandering

Hi I just recieved the new ed. of Revolution featuring a small article about a Vulcain Nautical watch. It looked interesting so I visited their website and I found some nice looking watches. I did a search here and there are a few postings mentioning Vulc... 

Three years ago, I bought a Vulcaine Cricket (Steel with Steel bracelet) from the new edition. To my understanding, they still use the old movements, which I like due to the pecularities (winding in one direction for watch in the other for alarm). Quality...  

Unfortunately, not in focus but hopefully good enough to get an idea of the quality of the finish (pretty good). It is my understanding that an investor bought name and movements a couple of years ago to sell them in new cases. I actually like the watch p...  

are you saying the movements are New Old Stock? C.

They have the vintage tooling and spares to produce the cricket movement. Also, they are working on developing additional calibers. Expect great things from them in the future.
