Found a way around my wife's "No more watches" warning.
As my wife has suspended me from any further watch purchase since this August, it seems that I have no chance to lay my hands on any new timepieces.
Or so I thought?
Back in this April, I bought the Pam183 and thought it would share equal wrist time with me and my wife. Although I quite enjoyed the watch, it turned out that my wife had never worn it! Somehow the Pam183 just did not sing to her.
Since she only loves the PAM111 (which have never been on my wrist since my wife took it over in March), I made up my mind to get the most out of the Pam183, which failed to fit my original intention of buying it.
So yesterday I went to the biggest secondhand watch store in Taipei, traded my PAM183, and got this beauty: an IWC Portuguese Hand-wound IW545404 in mint (practically unworn) condition!
Both I and my wife are very happy with the result. She loses nothing, and I got a new watch without breaking her rule. What a lovely day!
Here are some quick phone shots.
