I love the Seamaster Commander's Watch!
It is compact, thin, offers perfect legibility, and I really like the more colourful attire. Highly comfortable to wear with both the original NATO strap and countless rubber/textile straps from the aftermarket.
Regarding the "sea of black": Four of these eleven watches do in fact have non-black dials: The second Seiko is the "Deep Forest" with green face, and the Breitling Superocean has a copper-orange dial, but on the pic both appear to be black.

The eternal mystery, Marcus. Not much of a chrono fan, but . . .
. . . they always seem to pop up in my collection. Maybe we're deeper than we think.
Funnily, I got some of my watches with steel bracelets, sometimes they are not available without.
But all of them end on rubber, leather or textile within a very short time, I simply dislike the feel of a metal bracelet on the wrist, even if it is titanium. The Seiko Sumo was refitted on steel only for selling it. Marcus
