I imagine (this is only I can do) that developing totally new movement might be tremendously tough for one person......
As long as I know, even JLC, of course, one of the most technically skilled watch constructor, takes several years to get rid of all defection of 975.
Hope Volker is fine, and of course, I will wait unti he is persuaded himself that VA is ready to deliver.

In the ideal world (especially for me with the YG case) I'd end up with something close to the original dial design -- flat background, ivory color. But, at the end of the day it has to be possible to produce the watch! All the best, as always, Gary

Nice to read the update and nice to hear that they are progressing. I think the darker dial looks very nice but with RG I think I go with you on the lighter version. The blue hands are also nice looking too on this dial. Hang in there... Cheers Andrew

On the dials, the report from Michael is that the current design is "replicable" by Volker (which I take to mean that he can produce a significant number with quality that meets his standards). We'll see when my piece arrives, but I am definitely still lo...

quixotic journey. I was on the waitlist some 4 or so years ago (which I believe was over 3 years into the trek), but have now dropped off. I'm not sure we'll ever see the likes of a project like this again anytime soon. Can't wait to see scans of the time...

Gary - The pieces are beautiful. Love the detail on the dial. Also love the blue'd hands and matching blue'd numbers. How big is the watch? Will it be available in different metals? Just curious. Volker's on the right track for sure! - Scott
