Speaking of .... pocket watches: the IWC Ingenieur SL Pocket Watch ref. 5215-003
The watch is from ca. 1992. There were the ff. references (colors referring to the colors of the dials):
5215-001: rhodium plated (93 pieces)
5215-002: black (20 pieces)
5215-003: white (12 pieces)
5215-004: white with roman numbers (10 pieces)
So, overall, I guess in todays context we could call this a "limited edition" even though unplanned; back then, it was probably called a commercial failure.
