The JLC is just too sporty for my tastes. I've owned 2 Planet Ocean watches. The design is a great mix of classic, modern, sport and the new business. But for me they felt too thick. This was with the 2500 calibre so the 8500 is out for me. But it sure lo...

I took another look at JLC again and came across two other models that I think might be nicer than the original I mentioned and posted. Master Compressor Diving Chronograph GMT Navy SEAL 46mm and the Master Compressor Diving Alarm Navy SEAL 44mm. They bot...  

My favourite among all those you showed... But it is just my taste, and all will depend of you, of your wrist, too. See them in the real, you will know. Best, Nicolas

the jlcs you picture are fantastic. i've seen one person, and it was great. but i don't think, as i mentioned earlier, it works well in a more formal/business context, and they are pretty thick. i still think the omega might suit your needs better.... chr... 

The Omega does seem to work better for alternating between dress and sport. Now its going to come down to which watch fits my wrist nicer and which one is better made at this time.

I own the Navy Seals Chrono GMT on the articulated rubber (your first picture of it) and LOVE it! I find that it can go dress or sport, due to the black bracelet, dial and bezel. I do like the PO LM - but I like the chrono on the blue rubber best, which i... 

Compared to the Chronograph, the Alarm looks cleaner and pleasing to me. Plus I own many chronographs and zero alarm at this moment. Ruckdee

I do have one with an alarm, but it's not very loud so I might as well not even have it on the watch. It's an original Ventura. Like the watch and has lasted me a long time without any problems, but the alarm on it doesn't sound loud at all. Your point is... 

It is loud enough to be heard from what I remember. It is great and on my "must have" list. However certainly too big for the sleeves of a business shirt. same goes for the Blancpain fifty fathmos. Phantastic watch for sports and great for diving. I owe o...

...an alarm complication is more useful than a chrono and since the JLC alarm model you indicated has a timing bezel it can also do both.

Can you tell me how durable this JLC watch is? Is it shock resistent? I know it's a 44mm but How thick is this JLC watch? The Omega is 45.5mm and 19.5mm thick. I hope its not as thick or thicker. Thanks.

This is one of my favourite summer watch which I bring with me everywhere... No problems about its " normal " shock resistance. I don't have here, with me, the exact thickness, but I'd say 15 mm. I still have it in my collection. Best, Nicolas

I don't know if you have the chance to try these watches on, but if at all possible, please try to see them in person. The new Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean chrono is very thick (as you've posted). Based on the size & thickness of all of these watches,...

If you do, which one? Can you post some pics to see it. I am very interested to see how bright the luminescence is on the MCA NS. I would also like to know how long it last laminated. I know that superliminova is bright and stays lite for a very long time... 

usses the best I am sure, have seen in the flesh and the lum pops, more than the B&R lum IMHO and I like what they use.

and absolutely love it. I don't have any experience with Omegas, but from what I understand JLC makes better movements (please feel free to correct me if I am mistaken). I love the watch and get tons of compliments on it. The watch has been bulletproof so...

I chose this one over the Navy Seal models because for me personally I really like the blue accents on the watch as opposed to the all black of the Navy Seals' watches. The other thing that really swayed me (I know this is going to sound funny) is that I ...

if there is enough lum, if it just the right tickness, if it can sustain weather, if the look appeals to you etc... I may not be a Navy Seal, per say, but my NSA lives a pretty active life, believe me. Regards, Yves...  

The luminescence looks great. Do you know how long the luminescence stays lite (1hr-12hr)? The watch lookes in great shape. It looks like nothing has happend to it. Do you wear it frequently? Thank you for the photos and your comments.

Thank you for the photos, especialy the ones with the LUM. It shows me how bright it is. So the LUM stays lite several hours? That's good enough for me. Which version do you own? Is it the limited edition (boutique) or the regular LE 1500? Have you had an... 

My timepiece has a titanium bracelet which is part of the limited serie of 1500. The Boutique versions do not have a titanium bracelet. Nothing to be concerned of. I will only bring my timepiece back to the AD this summer in order to have the bezel cranke... 

Do you mean that some of the pieces had bezels that felt to loos when turning it or does it feel hard and rough when turning it? I want to purchase the one like yours with the titanium bracelet. It seem to look a little nicer for when you want to dress up...

What exactly is ment by Limited Series of 1500? Does this mean that they make 1500 total and that is it? or Does it mean that they make 1500 a year? or Is it 1500 in each different strap style? Just curious, has anyone tried using the alarms feature while...
