... since the map on the Duomètre Unique Travel Time is not used to indicate world time but is rather a setting help for the second zone time. The map thus turns not continually (by connection to the movement) but only by actioning the pushers on the LH side of the case. The numerals circumventing the map indicate the deviation from GMT and are thus in a fixed position in relation to the map. What moves automatically around the map and over these numerals is the sapphire disk to show approximately day and night on the northern hemisphere. This additional display makes the second zone time a 24-hour indication.
The Duomètre UTT is indeed a superb travel watch but no worldtimer.

I looked at this watch some years ago now...
and at the place Vendome boutique no less... Was so very tempted but the price was high relative to my watch budget at the time. Still, the dial was fabulous. Dave

I agree, the chiseled dial reflects light in an ‘attention grabbing’ way
Paris version is much more subtle!
Right after the chronograph that would also be my favorite Duometre.
But wait, there was still the Spherotourbillon. But that's another story ....and budget.

Their lower price point does make them some of the best daily wearers
