Rationality

This is?a tangent I grant but I would like to share an opinion if a rather uneducated one. Whenever the ratio of angular velocities between the two axes in a dual axis tourbillion is rational, the relative position between?balance and escape is cyclical, that is will at some point return to the same position. If the ratio is irrational, that is cannot be expressed as a fraction in its lowest terms, then the relative position of balance and escape will never be repeated. With gear teeth, an irrational ratio cannot be achieved. With some sort of continuous friction wheel drive, however, all things become possible. It would be interesting to see such an invention if nothing to see purity of engineering.

Warm Regards,
