I think it depends on context, though, regarding the hammered moonphase... the Grande Reverso Calendar had arabic numerals and a 'simple' gold moon, but hardly lacks in character ...
Yes yours is a beautiful piece.
The new Tribute calendar in SS has the moon phase in silver though plus a flat dial making it too sober IMHO.
