Jaeger-LeCoultre

Very interesting feedback, Adam.

I see your point on your mixed feelings about the " threatened " uniqueness of the original Geophysic.
Though, at that time, I mean in the end of the Fifties, the future of watchmaking was clearly automatic. Automatic movements were seen as a progress.
So the Geophysic was not considered as a must have. It was a tool, a very interesting one, for scientists and ingenieurs, maybe adventurers.
A bit less than 60 years after, it is now considered as an icon. Because of the movement, which was the son of the Calibre of the Mark 11, in a less decorated evolution.
I totally understand your point about the dead second leading to remind you Quartz seconds. Some will like, others won't. And that's good like that.
As well as the busy looking world timer dials. not everybody's taste. Here again, there are fans and people who are indifferent to them.
I confirm, the price of the True Second is 8400 Euros. Much " cheaper " than the Universal Time. Definitely.
Best,
Nicolas
