I just don't think that a bumper automatic would fit properly in a case for a rotor automatic. The rotor autos were slightly wider and taller than the bumpers. The discoloration of the bumper rotor doesn't trouble me that much. These sometimes got unevenl...  

So it's definitely a Franken. Maybe there's more room in the Dennison case for the bumper. Cheetah

Hi Bill, That case is a genuine Dennison Seamaster case which was produced from 1956 until 1960 - they only ever housed the cal 501 auto. This case is stamped with a hallmark and serial number both of which date it to 1959/60 - that is long after Omega di...

That case belongs with a cal 501. I have a Dennison cased cal 501, case ref 897914, date letterJ for 1958/9, movement number 16.4 million. These are big heavy cases (33g of 18kt). No doubt that a cal 501 went inside that case, but I've heard lot of report...
