Good on Omega. Some thoughts:
A very cool trio. I love that Omega seems to be right-sizing the cases a bit and appear to happily omit the dreaded (feared?) date window.
Two thoughts:
1. When will we see an homage to the Seamaster with curvy lugs? I think a reissue of the the MoD Seamaster 300s would be great. I miss the lugs on these and the Seamaster 300 released a couple years ago.
2. Even after a few years I am still not sure how I feel about the "vintage" color of the lume. It seems like they would be better off developing a new substance that might naturally age with the watch and it's owner. A "frozen" patina from day 1 just doesn't sit quite right with me. Maybe I'll come around eventually. Or at least offer another reference with white luminova as well?
But with the size and design and movements I will happily applaud Omega. I think these are their best new sport watches in awhile.

Basel 2017: The Seamaster / Speedmaster / Railmaster from 1957 are re edited.
Each of them are limited to 3557 pieces or... In a set, limited to 557 pieces. The Seamaster 300 1957 is two miliimeters smaller than the current Seamaster 300 ( 39 mm / 41 mm ). The Railmaster 300 1957 is 38 mm big, Like the original. The Speedmaster 195...

The kit is obtainable but I'll pass. I do like the cleaner dial on the RM, but the Seamaster's bezel is just a thing of beauty.

That being said I applaud Omega for their decision to use smaller case sizes for these reissues. Really, I like everything about these watches except for that fakey-patina stuff.

I'm guessing the lume was white-ish, yes... but no matter the tone it was in all likelyhood the best lume that was available at the time.
I don't mind a modern movement, but for whatever reason a dial with faux patina is somehow disingenuous.

Yes, but these Omega are limited release and small enough number to sell out.
The masses would likely not buy these watches as they are too small and look old! Rolex catered to the masses with the SD and not to people on this or other watch enthusiast forum.

Yep....i have seen it now. I think we can get hung up on the minuitiae.....
......L.E or plain vanilla, these are all great and fund watches........if it was THAT important to be exactly like the original vintage, I would say GET the original vintage. But for a modern iteration.....these are ALL winners.
