Why the A.C.P.? Because the dial was made especially for a private group of auto enthusiasts in Peru. Our So Cal alphabet soup gang tried to persuade Omega to produce a Speedmaster especially for us with the Greek letters ⍶βɣ (alpha beta gang) where 'A.C.P.' appeared on the dial, below 'Professional', but to no avail. So we settled . . .
. . . for t-shirts instead.

I don’t know the policy of Omega to accept or refuse an order for an special marking on dial. May be it requires a large order or perhaps they don’t accept that at all.
From my conversations with a boutique manager, Omega is willing . . .
. . . to engrave cases, and has done so recently for a group of collectors. But customized dials? No such luck.

I can’t but love the Speedmaster, in almost all it’s iterations. I just watched last night a Netflix documentary called Mission Control which focused on the ground crew for the various space programs of that era. It’s good viewing if you have access to it...
