I already have a 5712G on a blue strap (thank you Brandon) and agree it is a very asymmetrical dial, however there is a huge difference in red gold and a brown face compared to the 5711/1A. Thanks for the input...Jim

I tend to think how you do, the classic will always be the most desired. The 5712 is better in rose gold with a brown or blue (what I have) strap...Jim
I much prefer the 240 mini rotor and the complications on the 5712 compared to the 324 rotor and spartan dial of the 5711. My wrist is quite small and a spartan dial on a 40mm watch would make the watch look even larger.
