Certificate of Origin
Hi, I just bought a Patek from the grey market. It was bought by a guy from an AD less than 5 months ago. The watch is brand new, double sealed and all documents are in place. One thing that concerns me is that the original buyer obscured/erased his address by blacking it out in the Certificate of Origin (understandable, I thought during that time). But now that I am reading the whole document I see that the certificate says: "The Guarantee will be considered void if the Certificate of Origin ... has been modified/altered in any way." Should I be worried? Can someone put my mind at ease?

I would not worry
as long as the Certificate of Origin is stamped and signed by an AD. Naturally we all have the right to delete our names. If you are worried about that, think from a different perspective: adding the name in your way of thinking means also altering the Ce...
