5050 exhibits flawless execution. All subsequent versions unfortunately never got it as well imo.
I especially like the seconds hand. It elegantly provides a counterweight without blocking the dial.
All new Pateks unfortunately have been using bulky and bulbous seconds hands that always blocks some important information. This is especially obvious for chrono PCs.

I had to look twice to see the date indicator, it is sitting right behind the second hand, and yes, it looks great with the polo shirt!!

Notice that on the 5059 and the modern 5159, the leap year window "eats" the date at 15 17 --- looks AWFUL. But the original, the 5050, is sheer design perfection!
