Either is OK
I don't have an Orbita winder (well, actually I do but my son has it). I use Scatola del Tempo which winds in both directions. It does fine with my 5960P as well as the rest of my PP and Rolex watches watches with the exception of the 5136/1. With its smaller rotor, I need more turns to keep it wound.
