I love the 5940G and had the chance to see and wear it
It is a very classical Grand Complication, but also very casual watch, thank to the combination of white and black colors. Unfortunately, IMO, the dark blue sky of the moon phase is very "close" to the black dial, so to notice the difference between the two colors, you have to observe them quite close and with attention. Said this, I wold buy it today if I had the chance...

But the dial colour is of course personal. Here is mine! Please note that this is really a 37mm watch - I noticed your minimum requirement was 38mm. The official dimensions of the 5940 is 44mm x 37mm but the 44mm accounts for the lugs. ...
I tried the 5940G black dial a few months back.
It’s a very beautiful piece, but it’s very formal in my opinion. Just something to think about, but maybe that’s perfect for your lifestyle and the occasions you’ll be wearing it for.
