then both Lange and Patek are good choices...and to narrow it down to just one i would go with the Patek... the Cartier for me is not wearable IMO

I've put the Cartier on the wrist...it looks really nice, but is quite a dressy watch. It doesn't go too well with a T-shirt. Point well taken. Sam

Hi samwan, for pure aesthestical reasons I would choose the Lange. The Cartier is too cold and extravagant in style IMO, the Patek is too colourless for me considering it´s a watch with moon phase, although I generallylike the AC. I´m sure, you will not r...

... in all aspects, except one: I find them all ugly. Why these three? If forced to choose I would go for the Lange and then please without the moon. I like simple and the Patek calandar is not and the Cartier is not in my taste, so to say. For that kind ...

I cannot judge the Lange as I have not seen it in metal (especially with the new gold colour)...... The PP is interesting but the Cartier is gorgeous and the fit is great.... Also, you will not see many of them as Cartier, for the moment, manufactures few... 

I'd go for the Patek annual calendar, but in pink or yellow, instead of white 18k.

I will both agree and differ with my friend CL. First forget the Cartier, not much more to say. Not in the same league as the others IMHO. The Patek is nice and useful, but that is most of what can be said. Nothing too special about it. The Lange 1815 Moo...

... very recently. Your post about the 5396 R was nearly sealing the deal for me to go for a PP AC. But than the Lange 1815 in HG came around ... and lucky for me: it felt itself comfortable on my wrist, so I took it home ... . In my opinion, next to VC's...

From the moment that I saw the first photo of the new 5205 it was love at first sight! Having also tried on a "Dummy" model it only made me more convinced that I would like one. At 40mm it sits nicely on my wrist, though with the slightly concaved case it... 

It was precisely because of my ownership of the 5396 and 5960 (both annual calendars, not to mention the 5059) that prevented me from making an immediate plunge. And I need to see both the grey and black dials before deciding... Cheers Sam

that you already have the 5960 (I assume the grey dial)..... Since you have the best (in my opinion) annual calendar from PP then you should go for the Cartier.... I had tried it on a few months ago and it was great.... Captivating, and you will not see m...

I am not surprised about the objectivity. Many people who love Patek also love Lange... though some may be prejudiced towards Cartier... Cheers Sam

I really love that watch If I could afford it, I would buy it without hesitation The Lang is nice but the Patek is imo nicer. Don't like the Cartier. For that style I would prefer the The Corum Black Ti-Bridge

I have yet to see this particular Patek in the flesh. However, I've held the 5207P (the minute repeater) in my hands before and it was big and heavy (presumably because of the metal). Let's see... Regards Sam

I'd go for either the Lange or the Cartier. I've seen the Patek, and while it is handsome it is overly modern and not very legible in my opinion. The Lange is beautifully finished and probably the best choice in terms of construction and finish, both of w... 

Thx for your input Jiaxian. Up to now, the votes are almost a 3-way tie, i.e. inconclusive. Goes to show that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder'.... At the end of the day, I will have to make my own decision, based on what really complements my existi... 

Lovely watch: The Lange is by far not too dressy, nor too much in your face! It offers ALL shades of gold, depending on the light. That makes it also a brilliant casual watch! The PP is more S&M ( yes: sado maso ) looking with these long spikes like baton...

I just find it quite contemporary in design, I happen to be a fan of its complication, the fact that it is the most useful watch out of the three, and the most understated-looking watch out of the three. Though I also like the Lange as a close second.

Nonetheless, as someone who already owns a PP AC perhaps the Lange. Be that as it may, owning another PP AC would be quite nice for your collection! As I said the AC in question is so understated that it is borderline hidden! Can't be bad when wearing it ... 

Mainly because its moon phases complication is one of the most accurate currently available and because I find the honey-colored gold case very original, exclusive and attractive. A question for you: you're sure it's possible to buy this model stand-alone... 

Personally, I vote for Cartier. I don't like the looking on the others. For Lange, its noon phase doesn't look good...it tried to balance the dial, but i think it is too much. The guilloche on the dial looks bad too....And I don't like the PP, since its d... 

They're all fantastic, of course. It's no use listing the technical reasons. But I think the Cartier is unique and special compared to the other two and will be a lot of fun for you to wear when you're heading to Fanling on a bright sunny day!

it's the first new watch for a while which has sent a shiver down my spine. I would like to see it in rose gold, but a 5205 is on my shopping list... The Cartier leaves me cold, the Lange uninspiring...

It is hard to choose between ALS and PP but, after a second of thinking, i would choose the Patek. I love both brands but, given the possibilities, the PP is my choice. Best, R
