I have made a decision between 5050J or 3970R.......
I'm going to get a 5050J from a very nice gentleman :-) I was struggling between these 2 reference but finally gave in to the seduction of the 5050J because of its thinner case, interesting dial and nicer dial color (matt silver). The strong vintage vibe of this watch and its yellow gold case eventually draw me in. I like 3970R due to its classic status but I ask myself if both watches are not discontinued and readily available, which one will I pick? My answer is 5050 :-) I have like both watches for a long time and finally, a winner emerges from my heart. A question for 5050J owners. I plan to wear this watch often and may consider wearing it daily. What color strap is good for Yellow Gold case? I want it to reflect a strong vintage vibe with a casual elegant air to it. I wear jeans most of the time. No suit and no hermes ties for me ;-) Any suggestion? Also, what do you guys think about 5050R? Is it a lot better looking than 5050J? The last time I saw a 5050R was with Roman dial. I didn't get it as I prefer the baton style for this model. I kind of convince myself into this watch (my first yellow gold watch) as I thought the YG case reflect a strong vintage vibe. Let me know your thoughts.
