To me the watch under discussion,(ref. 2594), is quite attractive and the build quality and performance of the piece is without question first rate. The opinion of my watchmaker, who owns a Patek, is that the 23-300 is a technical triumph. This is evidenced by its rugged construction and by the amount of hand finishing lavished on all Patek watches made during the time the 23-300 was produced. The 2.3mm height of this movement, while somewhat thin, is just thick enough to be truly robust.
I WILL at some point in the future own the new Annual Calendar, but for now seeing a ref. 2594 go for $10,000.00 tickles me half silly! Maybe my 3484 is moving UP ?!! All in good fun.
