This is a great point, in the sense that the "modernization" of much of the current catalog, also in terms of aesthetics and design, is in my view key to the unprecedented success Patek's *entire* offering has experienced during the last few years...
Perhaps the most systematic example we are witnessing is the incremental upgrade of the Calatrava collection, with a number of "new generation" models that are slowly being introduced. So much interest from collectors and such a high demand for the Calatrava line would have been unconceivable only a few years ago! 
But I'm glad to see a more modern approach (yet cautions and fully respectful of Patek's DNA) also in other areas of our offering. Refreshing Ref. 5316 with this new dial was precisely done in this spirit -- and once again, it appears to have succeeded
