Love affair with RM005 now over

 

Hi All

Some of you might remember me and my love affair with the 005 and marvel at just how accurate it was it lost 6s in 4mths.

So i take my watch off at night the same as every other night but i forget to put it on the next morning so another day and night goes by without any winding.

I go to strap her on the following morning to find it has stopped, no problem i just reset time and date give it 30 winds and off we go lots of wrist movement, check the time and it has stopped again, this goes on for 3 days it just keeps stopping, it seems to have lost the power reserve ability, ie it will run but as soon as my wrist stops for longer than 10mins it just dies again.

So it will be sent off to RM for repair still under warranty as it is just 6mths old.

Has anyone else encountered or heard of such problems?

I am now thinking of trading it in once it returns and buying a Patek, i already have rolex's new and vintage plus a number of Panerais.

I had the same thing happen I sent the watch back to Mille it came back after two months watch looked brand new never had a problem again going on two years. your watch was most probably put together by HAND maybe three years ago it just neeed an oil chan... 

I am not so pleased either

I've had my RM005 for 7 months. It always ran 15-20 sec a day, but 3 weeks ago an hour hand started to move randomly. It moved from 3 to1, then from 1 to 5 within minutes. Minute hand still moves in the expected manner. At this point I had to send mine ba...

thru my experience with richard mille watches, i had a problem with my rm003n and this was a toubillon. Two years back.. on my wrist,it will just stop moving but if left on the table, it works perfectly minding with the 70 hrs reserve... i had the watch s...
