Congrats but...
All Rolexes are beautiful, but some more beautiful than others. The DD2 for me was out of proportion to the
original 36mm, that being said since the new 40mm on it's way the proportions are truer to the original design.
I have a new 40mm in yellow on order, but I've always been partial to rose and will have to see both before
I make my final decision. Enjoy your new DD2, I must also say also during the course of this conversation that
I hate the "blocky" cases of the Submariner etc., that's why i bought a DeepSea because the lugs are far less obvious.

Hello Jeff, I agree that the overall balance is indeed different - I think it has to do with the case construction that is somehow slimmer too so it is not really about the 1mm but as you suggest a number of improvements (including the movement of course)...
