Evolution of the Bubbleback & Datejust
Thanks all!
There are a few versions of the Rolex bubblebacks ranging from the lady's version, 28mm version (boy size), 30-32mm normal version and 34mm Semi Bubbleback and the big 36mm bubbleback which evolved to become the Datejust, (with the inclusion of the date function).
The Big Bubbleback starts with ref 4467 and then evolved to varieties of 6305, 6031,6104, 6105 etc...and then to the :
Datejust families 6605, 1601,1603 or the
Pre Explorer 6098, 6298 & the
Turn O graph with 6202
Submariner with 6200, 6204

Rolex Explorer II (different period and different dials)
There are slight difference in the shape of the crown with the earlier one having "rounder" crown and later narrower one.....

The newly renovated hall looks great! I was expecting to have a new Rolex Daytona but the changes are too subtle and small. Went to visit smaller brands such as Glycine airman watch as well as the independence watch makers were fun!
