Rolex

I would choose the Rolex GMT

Even though the Tudor GMT has got very valid merits. On the Tudor, the GMT concept and the design consistency of the GMT and second hands against hour and minute hands are a plus for me. Even though it was visually odd at first, I would tend to think an alternative design would be deemed confusing, especially since the BB series had kept to snowflake hands. Further, I like the matt finishing off the case but more importantly the chamfers...its a great touch, and glad they got rid of the different colored ‘tubes’ for the crown. Rivet bracelet is also a super nice touch, am sure all the vintage rolex geeks out there would love it. The major downside to this watch is the size. In my opinion, it should’ve had the same size profile as the BB58. If it truly was so, I think the Tudor would have been the likely winner. Moving on to the Rolex GMT. First and foremost, kudos on the SS version and also for the jubilee. I love the fact it is not interchangeable with the oyster bracelet, as it’ll keep the white gold version somewhat special and also give the SS version a new identity. It is the year of the jubilee bracelet, and I have plenty of love for it on a GMT. In my humble opinion, it is hard to beat the Rolex GMT. To me it is a real icon!
