Whenever I visit the Temple St night market in Hong Kong there's always a tiny table or two with a shady looking guy sitting on a cheap folding chair and a binder full of photographs of "AAA Rolex" watches. The ADs could save money on their lease space an... 

I have seen MANY MANY 'desirable' sports Rolex in grey market seller's windows but no one buys like crazy. Too much mark up? 😀

Of course some used ones too. But now I feel most just enjoy looking at their bank balance growing rather than their watch collection growing It's always 'look at how much $$$ my 1675 is worth now' rather than 'look at how beautiful my 1675 is'

Who I find entirely inexcusable with their artificial shortages here is Rolex, who are not even strategizing smart in my opinion -- chances they'll lose this phony game and customers will get bored with it in the long run seem pretty high to me ;-)

The only way this madness stops is if the watch buying public collectively gets its mind back and remembers that there is a world of steel sports watches out there (from UN Marine, to GP Laureato, to Hublot, to Chopard Mille Miglia, GO Evolution to JLC Ma...
