Hey everyone, after months of thinking and doing my research.....I've finally made the purchase. After looking at many different brands, i just kept coming back to the UN.... UN Maxi Marine Chronometer 43mm, Black with Steel bracelet. Took a quick picture...

Hello bar2020! Glad you posted pics of your UN! Yeah,it's tough to see it scratched but don't about it that way. Consider nicks, dings, and scratches things that add 'character' to your beloved Maxi Marine! BTW, what UN's did you like for 2010? -MW

Congratulations on this purchase! I know what you mean about constantly coming back to UN. I'm attracted by other watches of course, but at the end of the day, there's something about UN's that is definitely a keeper.... other watches are... generally jus... 

A very dramatic and beautiful watch - nice metal bracelet just in time for the hot weather. There is something about the brand that is very seductive. I am sure there will be another in your future. Somehow I have managed to pull the trigger on two iconic...

Scratches are inevitable. Certainly try to take good care of it, but don't get too caught up in trying to keep the watch pristine.
