Misalignment of date disk

Marcus, thank you for your detailed answer.

I'm aware that I cannot expect a "perfect" alignment of the calendar indications. However, I also own a simple GMT +/- and the alignment of the this big date indication is much better than for my perpetual.

The alignment on the perpetual does not change after manual setting of the date forward and backwards and subsequent automatic date change. The slight inclination of the numerals on the inner disk remains unchanged regardless of whether the first figure of the date is 0, 1, 2 or 3. Therefore I suspect that the inner date disk might not perfectly be adjusted on the shaft of the pinion.

Maybe I'll take some more pics and send them to UN and ask for their opinion as I agree that we are talking aboaut a borderline case. Do you have any hint for me whom I should contact at Le Locle?
