I bought the Seahawk II Pro in 2005. The watch kept great time (+4 seconds), but the second hand was sticking around the date window. It slowed down, then jumped ahead. It got progressively worse. I had not dived, nor I exposed this watch to water. Took it back to the store - they gave me a new watch.
The new one worked great, until one morning I looked at it and it was 40 minutes behind. The power reserve indicator was at 70% or so. I thought I was dreaming, set the watch to the right time and for a couple of months had no problems. Then it started again, and never disapeared. The watch could stop completely with the full reserve. The watch was never exposed to any harsh conditions, never saw water, the crown was always screwed in al the way.
I wanted to have it repaired, but I was told it could take several months.
I could not E-bay it, since it had this defect, so went o to a dealer and exchanged it to Panerai Luminor Power Reserve.
Its ETA instead of GP300, but it works.
By the way, my wife's everyday watch is GP Lady F. It is 10 minutes a week fast.
