Thanks for the info. I talked to a watchmaker at UN USA today and he immediately wanted the watch back to repair at UN's cost. Very professional. Promised a 3-4 week turn around. So far I am very impressed.

I have just recieved my new 1846 38mm from my AD. The piece seems not to wind over nite on my winder, and only slightly during wearing. Does anyone else have this problem. I have tried clockwise and bi directional setting on the winder. I do not think thi...

The 1846 Marine Chronometer uses a movement based on the ETA 2892A2, which has a bidirectional winding system. It thus is not really important which winding direction your winder is set on. To evaluate if your watch has a mechanical problem, I would need ...
