and I'm not sure the current aesthetic sensibilities would be interested in producing such a design. The font chosen for the current movement engraving is an example. Could be considered "modern" to some eyes but remains unattractive in my view. ...  

A decent bridge layout, though of course not as nice as the one in the original post. Its main drawback is it\'s size: it was made to fit ladies watches. I think many enthusiasts would be enamored of the older aesthetic.

can also be beautiful, as Patek's calibre 23-300 demonstrated. You would of course lose the swansneck regulator as this has proven to be technically inferior to the free sprung arrangement utilized here: ...  

I personally think this movement looks fine in this case and by the way, it actually measures 34mm. We all have our unique perceptions.

another annoying detail is the excessively wide widths of the screw slots, apparently to accommodate larger and coarser screwdriver blades. In all fairness, Vacheron is not alone in using these new screws as the majority of manufacturers have switched ove...

VC Cal 454 based on VC Cal 453 translated is JLC Cal 450 based on JLC Cal 449. But the JLC movement is not near as beautiful as this! Not only difference in polishing but also in the bridge layout. And no swan neck regulator for the JLC... Best Blomman
