2004 has been a good year

 

I finally found 2 Vacheron Constantins I had been looking for for some time. Thought I'd share some scans with you.

Honor to the elders, let's start with this vintage piece dating from the late 50s early 60s using the hand wind caliber 458:

A rectangular watch with outsized lugs. The looks can make one think of the Toledo but if you notice the lugs cut off in the center of the case where as in the Toledo they "surround" the case.















Second is the Audubon Birsd of America series launched in 1997. Made in 10 series of 10 pieces each representing a different bird motif inspiered by the works of the 18th century naturalist James Audubon.

The dial is cloison? enamel, the back has a hinged cover which opens by using the pusher at 8 and reveals the beautifully skeletonozed rotor of the cal 1120:
