Beautiful pillars there. Nice touch to see them all turned of the same rod, very concentric.
May I ask of David, what alloys of brass and steel do you prefer for your work here?
I'd love to try using some Sandvik Finemac steel for some of my work, mainly I use O-1.
Finemac is something I saw in Paul Loatman's work, and became interested in trying it.
Keep them coming, I think a lot of people here love this series, even if they aren't posting.
If these articles don't inspire you to work in or study horology, I don't know what would!

The brass is....
CDA 360. I use O1 drill rod for shafts & arbors, Sandvik 20AP for screws and pinions
