David is a very rare breed, both a master clockmaker & watchmaker. Best known for his extra-ordinary precision pendulum clocks, he also currently creating a small series of wristwatches with hand guilloche dials, Swiss calibers in steel. This can be seen 3rd from top on right hands side, showing 9pm. The other project he has undertaken, is the Platinum Watch, a wholly handmade platinum watch, with 950 Platinum mainplate and bridges, the 2 prototype movements can be seen in this image on movt. holders. One is running, the other had no balance wheel as yet.
Keaton Myrick, an American Independent Watchmaker, was here too with one of his latest pieces from the 1 in 30 Series, shown here bang in the middle of the pic, with his most recent dial finish and applied blued steel arabics and stick markers. This is also the first case of his own design and hand finished, from his local town in Oregon.
David knows a few great collectors and was able to "Borrow" the stunning RW Smith "Piece Unique" Retro Grade Date Tourbillon also pictured here for our gathering back in March. He also had on loan the Omega skeleton and the Blancpain Minute Repeater to feast our eyes on!
A wonderful horological event.
