Ever so glad to see two more Glashüttes in this thread . . .
. . . and all the more with one being a Union. I'm personally familiar with the G O, of course, but Union never made it across the Atlantic (at least, not officially), and I've never laid eyes on one in the metal.
For those who weren't aware, Union was at one time directly related to Glashütte Original and employed GUB movements, albeit less elaborately finished. Marcus will be thrilled to see your submission this week!

It is a great alarm and still wakes you up in the vibrate mode for plane, train, auto or hanging out naps. One of my watches to be passed to the boys, in a few decades! Best, Tim

Yes!
The vibrate will wake you up when worn, the alarm is quite loud when placed on its back on a hard surface, like a glass or wood night table. This JLC has kept me on time for many a meeting or wake up call when the front desk has failed or there is a power...
