Hi Gary, having just been travelling myself, I think your watch is an excellent example of a very dressy and practical watch at the same time. Particularly the double set of minute and hour hand on separate dials makes it very well readable, much better I... 

I finished servicing this watch last week, and I have been wearing it almost every day since. Still want to swap the crystal and restore the painting on the rotating bezel, but I have paying work to complete ahead of my own watches. So far I'm very please...

This Monday I finally recieved this Stowa Flieger watch, now also available with a date window. Some puristic purists believe this to be an illegitimate change of style as the original Flieger watches did not have this. I agree with them and yet I am very...  

I have been thinking of a similar model myself - I don't usually wear 40+mm in watches without recessed or highly curved lugs, so it still may be too big for my wrist. Glad to hear that the finish is acceptable. Enjoy. Ginger

The finish is actually very acceptable. I´m not that familiar with the connatations of "acceptable", but if you would say "akzeptabel" in German, this would mean as much as "just/quite right", "mostly satisfying", "moderately well done" or "nothing s... 

I was on the list for a Stowa Airman Original, but when quantities became limited, I took my name off in order to facilitate someone else getting the piece who desired it more. The date version looks great on you! HAGWE (even if you are on call)! Cheers, ...
