Great theme! For this 'mystery GTG' I decided I'll try to match the location to my Patek... Let's see what we have:
This 5089G if it's in Geneva...
This 5131P if the GTG is at the North Pole...
Finally, this 5177G if it's in my hometown of Genova...
And now I ran out of Pateks with geographic dials... So if the GTG is somewhere else, let me know and I've found a great excuse to increase the collection...

I would also go with one with a personal meaning. My dad's watch. Bought in the 1960s Interesting enough horologically to discuss but not something that would shout. ...
