These days, generosity doesn’t come back. I’ve gave 2 watches away to 2 friends. They never reciprocate and it feels like a one way street. One even hinted for me to buy another for him. It told me a lot.
I like your choice of the Omega Seamaster 300 Bronze Gold, looks great in your photo. I tried this one on when it was first released and was impressed with it. Next year sounds intriguing 🧐
I like your bronze gold chronoscope too (i believe you have one, but may be incorrect). Will post some pics of my new daytona later in Jan when I fly out.
It wasn’t an easy decision, especially looking at your photo. I just feel that when you are uncertain it’s best to move on and possibly revisit it at some point in the future.
But none the less I was able to add at least (maybe 1-2 more before Dec 31st!) 7: Not in chronological order: 1- Of course the CDV 2- The Traditionnelle 3- the CK859 4 and 5 are two Longines from the heritage collections 6- our WPS anniversary watch and #...
I’ve got to say what a revelation the Pepsi is on a leather strap, a remarkable look. All your new watches are really great choices and I have a soft spot for the CK859 as it’s so easy to enjoy in most situations whilst still looking good. It really is a ...
... stunning red croc straps. They make it truly different and striking. Very nice! You have a superb collection my friend. Keep enjoying so much! Hagwe! Abel
It feels almost mission accomplished for what I was aiming for. Next will try to hunt a few integrated bracelet steel watch like the Chopard alpine and the VC oversea
Your future pieces you have in mind are very interesting and beautiful. Let´s see what the ne year 2023 brings to our collections! Have a nice Xmas Season my dear friend. Best, Abel
Reposted at the request of hs111… 2022 for me was quite a year for me, as several pieces had entered my collection, among which there also was an addition of a grail piece to me, a PP Nautilus 5712/1 A a catch I already had eyed for some time, and as a fr...
... with some wonderful additions to your already superb collection. Lovely vintage Aquatimer. Agree with your coments on the CK859 Omega, which it also arrived to my collection this year. Your JLC triple calendar is a most beautiful and elegant watch. Fa...
BTW: The IWC Aquatimer is indeed a cool 70ies piece, which – although I liked it – always went a bit un–noticed, when making choices for my rotation. Thus, it had to depart but went to a nice friend, sort of consoling the previous owner.. Thx again & Chee...
Yes, the IWC design is very 1970´s and it has a very special charme. It´s so nice to know that when a watch must depart from our collections it goes to a good nice home. Keep enjoying your collection so much dear friend. Cheers! Abel
Hi Unusual year, in that I haven't bought any new watches. Not that I haven't been looking - just that there's been no happy alignment this year. Most of my watches have arrived by happy coincidence - but this one of those hasn't happened. The usual is - ...
The most inspiring and heartfelt moment was graciously gifting left-handed dad a destro Rolex GMT. Some of you may have read my article sharing the joys of this moment, and am right now tearing up a bit just thinking about this moment in time . Thank you ...
I had no plans of buying anything this year. Already had a big incoming last Christmas and was totally content! Everything went fine until Nov. 1, when Rolex dropped the DSC and all plans went out the window!!! Three huge male African elephants can stand ...
Festive greetings friends ! The year started with a last minute change of plans, I had arranged to spend the last week in December, through January travelling purely for pleasure. It was cancelled 48 hours before departure due to Covid ;-(. I won’t post a...
... for an unexpected surgery. Ouch!! Fortunately everything went well for you... and me! Several great catches you are sharing here Captain. A classy Cartier and a versatile Aquanaut to open the list. Your Ultra Deep shot adds fuel to my wish of getting ...
Granted that I really liked it upon seeing it in the metal and trying it on — it just felt right — but I thought I might not wear it as often as one of my sportier watches. I’m happy to report that’s not been the case at all.
Two acquired, none let go. The most recent this afternoon as my good lady had an unexpected phone call this week after 8 months wait! Love the fact she chose the OP as her own choice. Such a classic watch IMO. BBB my addition this year is an unexpected ge...
