WristScan

Hmmhh.. A bit late, but hope not too late.. Here some chips to play..

Small vs Big - interesting topic, Abel !

So I humbly will try to play..

One thing and topic, among others, for smaller watches are Militaries, going back to 40ies, 50ies.
Then often small is just diameter, but watch-wrist ratio, case thickness come into play as well.

Thus, I‘ll start with some few pics of smaller watches:

Let‘s begin with some Militaries

JLC WWW MoD 35mm, ( Ministry of Defense Modification) British Army ( Up- arrow), Chromium plated, P stamped
after luminous change for Promethium ( instead of Radium)

Left: IWC Mark XI, rt: Mark VII Weems ( note bigger crown @4 to movel bezel, even with a glove (!) ;
Pilot watch after Major Philipp van Horn Weems ( patented 1935, AFAIK)

Military Trio: left: WWW/ MoD, Chromium plated,35mm/  British Army, Promethium dial ( MoD);
middle: IWC Mark XI (34 mm), rt: Mark VII Weems, 33 mm, but still in proportion, IMHO
All Really small ? - Nahh, actually quite attractive..

Two other rather smallish pieces, which wear quite nicely
 - Left: JLC Memovox Ref 851, Rt: JLC Ref 159

Now some few a bit bigger chips:

Ochs & Junior Moon (42 mm), matted Titanium case and for me an ideal size and proportion here

PAM 176 Titanio Luminor (45mm)

One of my fav contemporary Travel watches - Girard Perregaux Traveller, Grande Date, GMT, Moon, Sapphire dial
Unobtrusive,clean with a very attractive dial

Another PAM 176 Luminor shot - To me for Panerai watches, the size factor is no problem

Low key, pure and a bit eclectic- MIH (42 mm)

Another Indie : Habring2 Felix Rattrapente ( i.e.: split second) Chrono - for me an optically balanced pleasure (42mm)

Well, sorry for my a bit lengthy dwellings -
- Just hope, you like some of those a bit..

Best: hs
smile smile

PS: Size absolutely is a relative matter,
(my personal favs mostly are between 38 and 42,
with the obviously inevitable outliers
