At first, I thought that I had no watches from the Dark Age as I lost the 1970 Seiko Automatic Chronograph during a house move and the 1984 Citizen quartz watches were not "kept for the next generation". wink

Perseverance was rewarded because searching through the Joint Collection with the current Mrs MTF was fruitful.....


1988 Futuristic

First up is a futuristic watch launched in 1957 as an electric watch that was fraught with problems with the movement's magnetic coils.

Its most famous celebrity owner was Elvis Presley who bought a handful in 14K yellow gold.

The re-issue in 1988 had a more reliable quartz movement.
