a superb alternative to the highly priced JLC's of the same age and in excellent condition from what i can see in this pic. i notice there are no 'T's' either side of the swiss made, but there is lume. is it pre-tritium or a redial? if it is you wouldnt k...

It is hard to tell a cal 1475 from the successor cal 1930, but I think this is the earlier caliber....

'nice' doesnt really describe the pair of them. both at different ends of the spectrum, but matching nonetheless. as you know i nearly always wear 2 watches, just because i have 2 arms. i dont have the problem of people at work thinking i'm odd as others ... 

They are 'nice', I have to modestly agree. So different, but they seem to go well together. And it's actually very easy to get used to wearing two watches; there's a certain balance to it. Keep well. Andrew

fairly unique. there are a lot of companies doing single handers now, but the Meistersingers are my favourite due to the sharpness of the hand and ease of reading. they remind me of pressure gauges. best Graham

I thought single handers were very unique when I was first exposed to them by Graham for I just had never thought much about them before. This is the one and only I have and Graham reluctantly sold it to me. There was a short acclimation period for I was ...

. . . that now belongs to mrsnak. Unfortunately, sports / tool / utility watches aren't a consuming interest, and I can only justify owning one. A cal 910 Flightmaster is at the top of the list, followed by a few others, so the Professional isn't in the c...  

i found the flightmaster a bit top heavy like the speedy 125 and the MKIII. typical 70's styling i suppose. i prefer the flatter profile of the pro, the sm300 and the railmaster. i know your interests dont lie in that direction which is why i had to ask G...

ah Richard perhaps i meant solstice not equinox. the solstice is always on the 21st. in the northern hemisphere june 21st is the summer solstice and longest day, winter solstice is dec 21st and shortest day. there are also 2 inbetween to mark spring and a...

I actually ordered the Stowa, but the watchmaker they used to change the Unitas to central second passed away.. and I could not receive my watch. They made a kind of lottery who could purchase..I missed out... It's also not a Laco..though am keen on one..... 

i had the laco 55mm 1939 observor watch in my military collection, but its totally unwearable. mine had the original long 'over the jacket sleeve' strap on it so i couldnt have worn it if i'd wanted too. the price of them now is unbelievable. an Archimede...
