Nice shot Emil. It really is like a time machine on your wrist when it takes you back 70 years. And it is so often the vintage watches that align more with today's trends of size and appearance that we covet. Whereas the bubblebacks look great for an entirely different reason.

...well, actually old and newer since the second one's from the '80s...so not really so new. The bubbleback is from '41....

This was handed down from Dad . . .
. . . who, in turn, received it from his brother in 1956. I'd say that makes it a keeper for sure!

Actually, yes! All three hands . . .
. . . were corroded when Dad handed the Longines over, so I had them polished and rhodium plated when the movement was serviced. Funny thing - it's been in my possession for seven years, and it wasn't until just now that I noticed the reflective property ...
