yours might not have Rolex on the dial, but if i'm not mistaken you have a tri compax with V72 calibre in it which i think i'm right in saying is the same as this lovely Rolex. thats not detracting from the superb Rolex, but at this vintage era many used ...
My Friday wristscan taken from the tallest building in La Paz, Bolivia. My trusty travel companion Breitling Aerospace overlooks the famed snow covered Illimani mountains at over 12000 ft altitude And the city of La Paz in focus: Have a great weekend! Reg...
I had to work (and still do) and no time for taking a "new" picture. Pictures are from last weekend ;-) Jet boating is on the schedule for this weekend, but still some more hours of work ... HAGWE Filip Oliver
The date bubble really annoys me on mine… Often I start reaching for my E II but in the end I put on the SD instead, just because of that one! Thanks for sharing. Best Blomman
there is a big need for custom made display backs especially for some vintage watches. i have one on my 321 calibre speedmaster and would like one for my handwind omegas, the 601 and 286 calibres. the movements look great and deserve to be seen. best Grah...
thanks Oliver, yep, its another one i dont wear enough so i've been wearing it for the week. i'm on a mission to wear some of my higher end beauties over the next few weeks. best Graham
this style of watch was very popular in Russia prior to the revolution and Omega especially. in 1915 Czar Nicholas II presented the mayor or Petrograd with a watch like this. it was, as it turns out, the last watch he presented to anyone (as far as is kno...
I'm heavily into Russian culture and history, but I'm afraid my knowledge concerning Omega is very limited. As we know the city of Petrograd, it's founding and current name St. Petersburg, was founded by Peter the Great. Peter was instrumental in bridging...
. . . has one, Graham, so I get to see one every so often. It's my second favorite from the Museum collection after the sublime 1948 Centenary, which, I believe, was also in your collection before "The Great Shuffle" . . . cordially, Art
to have friends you can meet up with regularly without the need for an internet forum is a rare thing. if there were no internet i and many many others would be alone with their passion, but you guys dont need the interweb. the question i've always wonder...

But very unusual number style. 8 looks like an hourglass. 7 looks like????? The 2 in the 12 is different to the single 2. The 1s in 11 are longer than the others. Regards, Richard.
thanks Richard, i cant remember what they call it, but there is a specific name for the way the numbers are bigger at the long ends. a bit like a starburst effect. the 2's are only slightly different probably due to the sizing. the 7 is very odd indeed, b...
thanks Stefan, its the shape that does it for me. i'm thinking back over the last 6 years since i bought it and i dont think i've ever seen another one either on a forum or in the flesh. i wonder where the other 1914 pieces went too? best Graham
i also live a fairly relaxed lifestyle so none of my watches get harsh treatment. the shape, is as you say, beautiful. its the main reason for me keeping it when all the others had to go. best Graham
Sinn U1 Snow white. Just another in the collection of U1's. As some may know I am a fan of this tank of a tool watch. I will try and do a proper photo essay on the puppy soon. Very cool for the summer. The white strap variant wasn't for me. J HAGWE Bill...
The other is they wear smaller than you might image because of the lug shape. The rubber strap is great for all conditions and marries the wrist well. The problem always with Sinn is the availability to find AD's so you can try the watches on. HAGWE Bill
They do wear comfortably. I'm fortunate that my AD here also holds Sinn's and I have tried them on (more than once too) - they are comfortable, but still feels a little too big. Perhaps one day, I can condition my mind to accept that Size and proportions ...
Spent the lat couple of months moving some pieces around, and after what I thought was a lot of adding and subtracting, I only added two pieces...this is one of them, and have been enjoying it for a while now HAGWE all! Richard...
